Aschwald Art Advisory is a boutique firm providing strategic guidance to collectors, institutions, artists and art businesses navigating today’s art market. Founded by Christine Layng Aschwald, the firm handles acquisitions, sales, curation, and collection management. 

Founder

Christine Layng Aschwald is an independent art advisor and art consultant with nearly two decades of experience in the global art market.

Christine spent fifteen years at Christie’s auction house in New York where she built trusting relationships and advised many of the firm’s top private clients as Vice President in the Client Advisory team.

She then joined Artsy as Senior Director of Advisory and Collector Sales, focusing on strategy as well as contemporary art sales with galleries and collectors.

Christine combines deep market knowledge with a highly personalized approach, advising clients on art acquisitions, sales, collection development, and market strategy. 

Based in Summit, New Jersey, she works with clients across the US, providing strategic insight and access across the global art market. 

Christine holds a BA in Art History and Political Science from Williams College and is a Trustee of the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey.
